Mark Alan Dornfeld is a United States photographer,
writer, and artist who was born and raised in the suburbs of New York City on Long Island. He presently resides in Los Angeles California. Dornfeld
pursued his childhood aspiration of working in the film industry. After obtaining a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from California Institute of the Arts, a renowned Fine Arts institute. Dornfeld began his working career as an artisan in Visual Effects Studios around Los Angeles. Eventually landing at Disney then on to his own small studio as a VFX supervisor. significantly influenced by his enthusiasm for history, Social Justice issues and travel to developing countries.
Dornfeld continues to shoot photographs looking for lessons in the images he shoots and has several awards to his credit. Even though he has not yet published, a book is on the horizon. Through Young Eyes (coming of age through the lens of the camera) is arriving at the end of July and explores Dornfeld’s search for an understanding of how photos are seen at the time they are shot and how they are seen now, 50 years later
